They are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Power BI Visualization Engineer to join their global IT team. This role will be critical in developing and maintaining sales dashboards and other data visualization projects that are crucial for their business intelligence and decision-making processes.

 
Position Overview
The Senior Power BI Visualization Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining advanced Power BI dashboards and reports that provide actionable insights to various stakeholders. This role requires a deep understanding of data visualization best practices, Power BI capabilities, and a strong sense of data design to create cohesive, user-friendly dashboards that align with the client’s business goals.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in building scalable and dynamic dashboards that can be easily adapted to other business functions such as HR, inventory, and finance. This position demands a proactive individual who can take ownership of projects, work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, and deliver high-quality solutions within tight deadlines.

Responsibilities

Design & Development:

• Lead the design, development, and maintenance of Power BI dashboards with a focus on sales data, incorporating 5-6 tabs with varying data visualizations.
• Develop and implement dynamic report features such as interactive filters, dynamic titles, and drill-down capabilities.
• Ensure the visualizations are cohesive, following a consistent theme that aligns with the client’s branding and business requirements.
• Create wireframes and mockups to present to stakeholders before the development phase.

Data Management:

• Work closely with the global IT team to understand and utilize the data warehouse, ensuring the integration of clean and structured data into dashboards.
• Implement data relationships and DAX calculations to support complex reporting needs, including forecast data, KPI tracking, and trend analysis.
• Ensure that all data visualizations are scalable and maintainable, with a focus on reusability across different departments.

Collaboration & Communication:

• Engage with key stakeholders, including sales, HR, finance, and inventory teams, to gather requirements and translate them into effective data visualizations.
• Provide training and support to end-users to ensure they can fully leverage the capabilities of the dashboards.
• Regularly present updates, gather feedback, and make necessary adjustments to meet the evolving needs of the business.

Quality Assurance & Best Practices:

• Ensure all dashboards are rigorously tested for accuracy, usability, and performance before deployment.
• Maintain up-to-date documentation for all developed dashboards, including data sources, methodologies, and user guides.

Requirements

Requirements:

• Minimum of 10-15 years of experience in data visualization, with at least 5 years focused on Power BI.
• Proven track record of developing complex, dynamic, and scalable dashboards for large organizations.
• Strong experience in DAX, Power Query, and managing large datasets in Power BI.
• Familiarity with other BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Qlik) is a plus, but Power BI expertise is essential

Technical Skills:

• Expert-level proficiency in Power BI, including advanced features such as DAX, Power Query, and data modeling.
• Strong understanding of SQL, data warehousing concepts, and relational databases.
• Ability to write clean, efficient code and troubleshoot data issues within Power BI.
• Knowledge of best practices in data visualization and UI/UX design principles.

Soft Skills:

• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, actionable insights for non-technical stakeholders.
