Job Title: Temporary Marketing Manager (Contract-to-Hire Potential)
Location: Onsite in Sunset Hills, MO (St. Louis Suburb) – Hybrid flexibility considered
Duration: Now through late June/early July
Schedule: Full-time, onsite availability required for May 9–11 (Mother’s Day Weekend)

Overview:
We are seeking a proactive and self-sufficient Marketing Manager to step into a temporary, full-time role for a well-established nonprofit arts organization. This individual will serve as the sole marketing lead and primary point of contact for all internal and external marketing communications during a pivotal period that includes major events and a robust summer programming schedule. The role may transition into a permanent opportunity for the right candidate.

Responsibilities

  • Lead day-to-day marketing operations as a one-person department
  • Execute and manage social media content (creation, scheduling, and live coverage at events)
  • Coordinate email marketing using existing templates
  • Handle ad buys and promotional placements, particularly for family- and parent-facing publications
  • Create basic visual content using Canva, adhering to brand standards and style guides
  • Act as the primary media contact for events, including on-site press and influencer coordination
  • Serve as the point of contact for third-party vendors, including event program printing partners
  • Provide marketing support for summer camps, helping to drive awareness and registration
  • Represent the organization publicly if needed (e.g., local TV appearances)

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in marketing, communications, or related fields
  • Demonstrated ability to manage marketing operations independently
  • Strong copywriting and visual communication skills
  • Proficient in Canva or similar design tools
  • Comfortable juggling tasks and shifting priorities in a fast-paced, event-driven environment
  • Confident representing the organization with press, influencers, and partners
  • Nonprofit or arts organization experience a plus
