Job Description:
A successful Email Marketing Manager will play a crucial role in advancing our growing business by overseeing and executing outbound marketing emails for all sales markets. This position involves creating, scheduling, and executing emails for both prospecting and customer retention campaigns, aiming to drive leads and enhance customer engagement through effective email communication.
In this role, responsibilities include segmenting databases to target emails accurately, crafting engaging newsletters, and analyzing campaign performance to continually improve our email strategy. The goal is to effectively engage each target audience and drive leads through impactful email communication.
To excel in this position, strong marketing, design, and communication skills are essential. A keen ability to balance visuals, messaging, targeting, and testing is crucial for adapting quickly to apply new insights to our content and messaging strategy.
Responsibilities
Email Campaign Management:
- Create, implement, and launch an email marketing workflow process that increases efficiency and effectiveness in all markets.
- Develop and implement comprehensive email marketing campaigns, including email development, scheduling, testing, execution, and reporting.
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive email marketing calendar to ensure consistent coordination and timely execution of campaigns across all markets.
- Proofread emails for clarity, grammar, and spelling before sending out tests for review.
- Ensure templates are mobile-friendly and render well in main email clients (Outlook, Gmail, etc.).
- Upgrade email templates using graphics, dynamic and personalized content, and map variables to drive versioning and customization of emails.
Database and Segmentation:
- Work with our CRM team to create and maintain dynamic email database segmentations for lead generation and customer outreach.
Performance Analysis:
- Monitor, analyze, and report on campaign performance metrics to measure effectiveness and suggest improvements to key stakeholders.
- Partner with the CRM team to create detailed reports and dashboards on email KPIs.
Compliance and Best Practices:
- Maintain compliance with data protection regulations.
- Stay informed on industry trends and emerging email marketing technologies to ensure strategies remain innovative and competitive.
- Ensure emails follow industry policies and best practices.
- Conduct A/B testing to optimize subject lines, content, CTAs, and send times for improved performance.
Requirements
- Proven experience in email marketing, with a strong portfolio of successful campaigns.
- Proficient in database segmentation and dynamic list creation.
- Solid understanding of CRM integrations and proven success in developing, launching, and maintaining nurture email journeys.
- Skilled in auto-responder email creation and implementation.
- Keen knowledge of design and best practices for email marketing, with knowledge of HTML and CSS a plus.
- Proficient in multiple email marketing platforms, with experience in Dynamics 365 and HubSpot preferred.
- Experience in data hygiene and strong analytical skills with experience in leveraging data to drive decision-making.
- Ability to create images, design templates, and other email elements.
- Proven success in A/B testing for subject, content, and design.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Detail-oriented and highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Familiarity with email marketing compliance standards and regulations.
- 5+ years of relevant experience preferred.
Educational Requirements
- Bachelor degree in Marketing, Advertising or a related field.
Organizational Relationships
- Reports to the Senior Marketing Director. Works closely with all members of the marketing, design and production team. Regularly interfaces with various sales departments to achieve objectives.
