Job Title: Assistant Design and Graphics Tech
Type: Part Time, Covington, KY
Reports To: Design Department Manager
Job Overview:
This is a Northern Kentucky-based production company specializing in live event production for conferences, meetings, and conventions. As a family-oriented and customer-focused company, it is dedicated to delivering high-quality event experiences by combining cutting-edge technology with creative design. The work spans corporate events, trade shows, and large-scale productions, ensuring seamless execution from concept to completion.
We are looking for an assistant design and graphics tech with a fundamental knowledge of live meetings and events.
Responsibilities
- Work with production and planning departments to assist in the design, creation, printing, planning, and media creation of design and graphic elements.
- Capable of creatively assisting with stage and set designs used for live event production.
- Build out 3D event spaces with moderate detail from CAD drawings and venue-provided information.
- Work with a live production staff to coordinate and design graphics used for in-person meetings and events.
- Generate detailed schematics and diagrams to be used on event sites.
- Mastery of general knowledge of all software used to design and produce graphics and designs for live events.
- Software includes:
- Capture
- AutoCAD
- Sketchup
- Adobe Illustrator
- Adobe Photoshop
- Lighting Consoles (as needed)
- Able to read, interpret, and comprehend drawings and specifications for live events.
- Can perform multiple tasks organizationally and prioritize in a changing environment.
- Able to work cooperatively with the team.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to follow procedures.
- Exceptional attention to detail and maintaining design process.
- Ability to manage projects throughout the pre-production, production, and post-production process.
- All other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED Equivalent.
- Experience working with Graphic Design software such as Adobe Creative Suite, Capture, Resolume, CADD.
- Format and design PowerPoint, Keynote, Acrobat for media content and presentations.
- Basic understanding of AutoCAD operation to create and modify drawings.
- Ability to learn quickly.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to communicate difficult/sensitive information tactfully.
- Personable attitude, able to build lasting relationships with staff.
- Able to effectively communicate verbally and through email.
